St Tecla was a Welsh princess; she had a hermitage on a small rocky islet in the mouth of the Wye; she was murdered by the Vikings. The name of St Twrog has also been associated with this island.
She has a holy well and tree at Llandegla in Denbighshire. It has recently be cleaned and restored
