St Tegai was one of the many 6C saints along the northern coast pf Wales, many of them connected with Bardsey: he made his cell inside an ancient burial ground just south of Bangor and evangelised the area now called Llantegai. An ancient coffin, once thought to be his, lies in the churchyard but the identification is unlikely.
