Saint Austell or Austol Ascetic

Reposed 6th century Remembered June 28

St Austell (Austol) may have come from Wales and founded a monastery at the place which now bears his name on the south side of Cornwall. There is a fine holy well on the western side of the town at Menacuddle. He later followed St Samson to Brittany and a companion of St Mewan (Meen).
