St Fintan (Munnu) founded the monastery of Teach Munnu (‘house of Munnu’) now Taghmon in Co Wexford. He had 152 monks and the monastery became a centre of learning. A fine cross head remains. He also founded monasteries in Scotland including that of Eilean Mundu on Loch Leven by Glencoe. He is not to be confused with St Fintan of Clonenagh.
