St Fergus was probably a Pict (though some believe Irish) and companion of St Drostan, who founded church at Dyce in Aberdeenshire. He died and was buried at Glamis in Angus where he had lived in a cave by a holy well.
There is a large cross at Glamis which may have been a pre-Christian stone reworked into a lovely Pictish cross.
