Saint Erconwald Bishop

St Erconwald was born in the kingdom of Linsey (Lincolnshire) and was possibly a Royal. He helped establish a monastery at Chertsey for men with another for women at Barking. He is said to have converted King Sebbi of Essex. He was buried at Old St Paul’s where his tomb survived till the Reformation.
