Saint Oswald (York) Bishop

St Oswald was a Dane brought up by that other Dane St Oda. St Dunstan had him consecrated Archbishop of Worcester in 961 and promoted one year later to York. He was a great believer in the monastic reforms of the time reforming a total of seven monasteries and founding another. He died while washing the feet of the poor in 962.
