St Felix was a priest and monk in a Frankish monastery whom St Honorius the Archbishop of Canterbury made a bishop and sent about 530 to evangelise the Kingdom of East Anglia, travelling it is said by sea to Babingly in Norfolk. St Sigebert gave him a see, possibly Dunwich in Suffolk and he may have founded a monastery at Soham. He was venerated as a saint after his death.
